Q.
What is Douglas National Bank's Bill
Pay?
A. Bill Pay is a service
offered through our Online Banking
that allows you to set up payments
to just about anyone. You select
which person or company you want to
make a payment to, and Bill Pay will
withdraw the money from your account
and send the payee a paper check or
an electronic payment. You may
schedule payments well in advance,
and may set up one time or recurring
payments.
Q. What does it cost?
A. There is no cost for Bill Pay.
Q. Who can use Bill Pay?
A. Anyone who is a Douglas
National Bank Online Banking
customer and has a Douglas National
Bank checking account can use Bill
Pay.
Q. Who can I make payments to
with Bill Pay?
A. Anyone you have a correct
mailing address for. There are many
payees already on the national
database, but you may add anyone to
our list of payees as long as you
supply their mailing address.
Q. How are payments made?
A. A third party payment
processor pays your bill for you and
the amount is automatically deducted
from your account. Paper-based
payments are sent through a national
mail system and electronic payments
are sent through an electronic
delivery system.
Q. How far in advance must I
schedule payments?
A.
For payees who accept electronic
payments, 3 business days is usually
enough. If we must send a paper
check, allow 5-7 business days for
the payment to arrive for posting.
Please don’t try to schedule a
payment on a bill that’s due
tomorrow. |
